日本のカジュアルウェア服飾アパレルブランド「エフ商会」がプロダクトするアメカジレーベルがテッドマン(TEDMAN)です。

テッドマンのキャラクターの元祖はアメリカのTattoo(タトゥー)とされていますが、さらにさかのぼると大戦中の米軍の部隊のマスコット(レッドデビル)がルーツと言われています。悪運を吹き飛ばしラッキーを手に入れると言う神話は軍人が士気を高め、無事に帰還できる事を願った思いが込められていたようです。当時、このテッドマンのキャラクターのルーツである悪魔小僧のTATTOOが、口から噴き出す炎により、邪鬼を吹き飛ばし身に付けている者にラッキーを招く！と云う噂が伝承され、このTATTOOをバイカーやロッカーなどアングラ系の若者達がこぞって腕や肩に刺しました。これがテッドマンズの誕生秘話です。

そのエフ商会(Efu-Shokai)ブランド・TEDMAN'S(テッドマンズ)レーベルのN-3Bフライトジャケットです(メンズ パーカーコート ミリタリージャケット)です。

N-3B(Parka, Extreme, Cold Weather TYPE N-3B)はアメリカ空軍基地の中でも、アラスカなどの極寒地の地上作業用に作られたジャケットです。

この製品は、そのN-3Bのミリタリースタイルのディテールを踏襲しながらも、エフ商会によってタウンユース用にアレンジされた中綿ジャケットです。テッドマンのパッチカスタム、現代的な素材・シルエットを取り入れ、カジュアルのテイストをプラスした街着として洗練されたファッショナブルなデザインにアレンジされています。

サイズは標準的な日本サイズで、日本人体型に合わせたスタイルに再構築され、N-3Bスタイルのジャケットを快適に、よりスタイリッシュにご着用いただけますようにデザインされています。

表地素材はナイロン100%のナイロンヘビーツイル生地です。高密度に織られ強度に優れているミリタリーらしい表情ながら、しなやかな着心地も併せ持つ生地です。

裏地は滑りのよいポリエステル生地で、インナーウェアとの摩擦を考慮した袖通しの良い生地です。

裏地にはキルティングステッチがほどこされ、ポリエステルの中綿が詰められ保温性・防寒性が高められています。

フロントは、上下から開閉可能なダブルファスナージッパーと、その上をループボタンで留める比翼(ストームフラップ)仕立てです。さらにジッパーの後にも比翼が付き、ジッパーから漏れた風が侵入してくるのを防いでくれるつくりになっています。

フードの内側はフェイクボアで、フードのファーはフェイクファー仕様です。ファーはフードに縫い付けられいますので取り外しはできません。化学繊維のボアとファーですので、天然素材のリアルファーに比べて、取り扱いがイージーな素材です。

ポケット数は6つです。
ジャケット中段位置に手を入れやすいように斜めにカッティングされたスナップボタン付きハンドウォーマーポケット×各1、ジャケット下段位置に三角形の補強レザータブ付きのスナップボタン付きフラップポケット×各1、左袖にペンスロット付きのジッパーポケット(エマージェンシーキット/シガレット＆ペンポケット)×1、左身頃裏地に上に口が開いた内ポケット×1です。

This modern padded parka jacket is produced by Japanese casualwear brand Tedman from Efu-Shokai and made in China. The lucky devil named Tedman is the mascot characters of japanese clothing brand TEDMAN. Tedman brand use lucky devil named Tedman as their mark which makes this brand more unique and funny. And this product is made especially for Japanese market and made for Japanese clothing sizes. Body pattern is uniquely designed and inspired by USAF N-3B snorkel parka (N-3B Flying Jacket N3B Flight Jacket), but this item is outfitted with the original details of Tedman brand in a contemporary approach. This parka is a contemporary take on the original N-3B. A classic style gets a modern update with this N-3B from Tedman. The beauty of this piece is the balance of classic construction and modern updates from Tedman. And this padded coat is decorated with the patches and printing designed by the mascot characters of Tedman. And this modern variation is cut to wear as a Contemporary Modern Fit for a more fashion-forward looks than original Classic Fit. Outer shell : Made of 100% flight nylon, heavy nylon twill. It is high density and extremely durable. It combines the toughness and the natural softness for comfort. This fabric has a soft touch and deep hue with beautiful sheen.

Lining shell : 100% polyester horizontal quilted lining. The lining is smooth and sleek so you can take the jacket off and put it on easily.

Interlining (Type of insulation) : Inside padding. 100% polyester fiber fill sandwiched between the outer shell and lining shell. Suitable for fall winter seasons.

Hood type : Snorkel hood has adjustable draw cord with leather cord stopper and take-up strap. Non-removable faux fur around hood (Hood trim has faux fur ). A hood is lined with synthetic fur (faux fur, fake fur). Synthetic fur is designed to mimic the look of regular mouton fur. Faux versions are easier to clean and maintain.

Types of garment closure (Placket type) : 2-way zipper closure with storm flap protectors (wind flap protectors). Storm flap protectors (wind flap protectors) located both behind and in front of zipper closure. Leather pull tab on zipper designed for easy functioning with gloves. 2-way zips are designed to open from the bottom of the zip as well as from the top. This is to give you more room at the hem of the jacket so you will be more comfortable when you are sitting down.

Storage : Two exterior 2 snap-down-closure upper-set hand-warmer pockets lined with cotton poplin fabric. Two exterior snap-down-closure lower-set flap pockets lined with cotton poplin fabric. Lower-set flap pockets has leather arrowhead reinforcement on pocket edges for durability. One exterior zippered cigarette pocket outfitted with four pen/pencil slots (utility pocket) on left sleeve. One interior open-top patch pocket.

Other details : Reinforced elbow patches, reinforced elbow area with second layer of self-fabric. Drawstring cords at jacket inside waist to adjust the fit and to seal out the wind. The two-ply 100% polyester knit ribbed cuffs to keep winds from entering sleeves, which are located up inside the sleeves to preclude knit from getting snags.
