M-65(Coat,Cold Weather,Man's Field TYPE M-65)フィールドジャケットは、その名の通り1965年にアメリカ軍に採用された野外用戦闘服(FIELD JACKET)で、優れた機能性とデザインで、多くのミリタリーウェアーへ影響を与えた傑作です。

この製品は当時のままの復刻ではなく、M-65の美しいデザインをモチーフに、ミリタリーウェアの要素を随所に盛り込みつつも、素材やディテール、シルエットは現代風にアレンジされ、サイズは日本規格サイズで、カジュアルのテイストをプラスしたタウンユース用としてスタイリッシュにご着用いただけますようにカスタマイズされています。

素材はブラックとカーキがポリエステル65%・綿35%のツイル生地、カモとレッドカモが綿100%のツイル生地です。
高密度に織られ、強度に優れている頑強でタフな、ミリタリーらしい無骨な表情ながら、しなやかな着心地も併せ持つ生地です。

身頃裏地と袖裏地は、ポリエステル65%・綿35%のブロードクロス(ポプリン)です。高密度に織られた薄手生地で、インナーウェアとの摩擦を考慮した袖通しの良い生地です。

中綿なしのライトアウター(薄手のコート)なので、軽い羽織りのアウターとして、主に春先から秋口まで年間を通して、幅広く着用できるアイテムです。

フロントはジップアップで、フロントジッパーの上にはスナップボタン留めの比翼(ストームフラップ)が付きます。さらにジッパーの後にも比翼が付き、ジッパーから風が侵入してくるのを防いでくれるつくりになっています。

スタンドカラーにはジッパーが付き、中にフードを内蔵しています。

左衿にはベルクロテープ付きのアジャスターストラップが装着されています。ストラップを使用しないときには邪魔にならないようにベルクロに留めておくことができます。襟を立てた時のサイズ調整のためや、風や埃の進入を防ぐためのディティールです。

両胸と両ウエストには隠しスナップボタン付きのフラップポケットが設けられています。

腕を動き易くするための背中肩口のアクションプリーツ、服を密着させ体を動き易くするために内側に付けられた腰のドローストリング(紐)、ジャングルの中で手の甲を守るための袖口のベルクロ留め折込み式フラップ、袖口開口調節用のベルクロアジャスタータブ等、M-65のデザイン性、機能性も再現されています。

また、ミリタリー感をプラスする肩のボタン留めエポーレット(エポレット)、縫い目のパッカリング(縫い目のシワ、縫い縮み)など雰囲気のある仕上がりになっています。

両胸ポケット上部、両腕には刺繍ツイルパッチワッペンが、背中にはプリントが配されています。

Outer shell : Fabricated from 65% polyester and 35% cotton blended twill fabric in black and Khaki color. Fabricated from 100% cotton twill fabric outer in camouflage color. Heavy-duty one-washed, non-stretch, tightly woven cotton twill fabric. It is high density and extremely durable. It combines the toughness and the natural softness for comfort. This item is washed for fade and the fashionable vintage feel and look. The more you wear, the more fabric will fade beautifully and continue to get softer and cozier.

Lining shell for body and sleeves : Made of 65% polyester and 35% cotton thin, lightweigt, density and tightness weave broadcloth fabric. This lining is smooth and sleek so you can take the jacket off and put it on easily.

Interlining (Type of insulation ) : No inside padding. No fill. This jacket stay warm but do not like bulky puffer jackets. Suitable for spring and fall seasons. Great for wearing mid-season or even in the winter with under layering.

Types of garment closure (Placket type) : Zipper closure. Front Fastener : Zipper with all-cotton zipper tape. This jacket has an internal storm flap behind the zipper, and then the zipper is covered with a storm flap that fastens with snap buttons across the zipper. This design protects the wind from slipping through the front.

Storage : The jacket has four exterior pockets. Two large exterior pockets with flap closures secured by hidden snap-down buttons at the lower front section of the front. And two medium-sized chest cargo pockets with flap closures secured by hidden snap-down buttons.

Collar : High collar with velcro closure throat latch. The collar has a throat tab (neck strap, chin strap, throat latch) to make fastening easy with a velcro tape. It is used to protect the wearer from wind or dust. Throat latch that, when fastened, will help thwart chilling winds from entering the jacket neck area.

Cuff type : Adjustable velcro tab cuffs. And the M-65 has velcro cuff designed to extend out and attach or cover gloves.

Other details : Internal waist drawstring cord to adjust the fit. The waist is lined with a drawstring which can be cinched to adjust the fit. Pleated shoulders (Bi-swing back) to allow for ease of movement and comfort. Shoulder epaulets with buttons. This M-65 has a hidden hood in the zippered collar. The hood can be pulled out from the collar and rolled away into the collar.
