東洋エンタープライズ社(Toyo Enterprises)のミリタリーレーベル「Buzz Rickson バズリクソン」のA-2デッキジャケット(メンズ ミリタリーシャツジャケット)です。

A2デッキジャケットは、米海軍艦艇乗員用のN-1デッキジャケットの後継モデルとして、1960年前半に採用された防寒用デッキクルージャケットです。前モデルのN-1と比較すると、色味や使用素材に変化が見られ、表地はコットングログランからバックサテン地に、裏地はアルパカウールから化学繊維ボアへと変更されており、その変更は生産性とコスト面を見直した結果でした。カラーは軍規定色のオリーブドラブが採用されました。仕様については基本的なディテールはN-1を継承していますが、襟の形状が変更され、また、胸ポケット・裾のアジャスターが追加されています。シンプルなデザインと必要最低限の機能性を兼ね備えたモデルです。そして、A-2デッキジャケットは米海軍正式官給品の他にも民間向けとしても製造されていました。A-2デッキジャケットの軍規定色はオリーブドラブカラーでしたが、シビリアンモデルは官給品とは異なるネイビーカラーでした。

この製品は、そのA-2デッキジャケットのシビリアンバージョン(民生品)の復刻モデルです。表地にコットンバックサテン、裏地にポリエステルとアクリル混紡ボアを配して防寒性を確保したジャケットはミリタリー・ワーク・アメカジスタイルにも合うアイテムです。

表素材は綿100%のヘビーウェイトコットンバックサテンです。高密度に織られたハリとコシのある頑強な生地です。生地表面には横線が入った様に見える、ムラ感・スラブ感のある独特の風合いの丈夫な生地で、ミリタリーらしい無骨な表情ながら、しなやかな着心地も併せ持つ生地です。

身頃裏地と袖裏地は、ポリエステル70%・アクリル30%の混紡ボアで、保温性・防寒性が高められています。化学繊維のボアですので、天然素材ボアに比べて、柔らかく、軽量で、取り扱いがイージーな素材です。

フロントは、ジッパーと、その上をボタンで留める比翼(ストームフラップ)仕立てで、風が侵入してくるのを防いでくれるつくりになっています。ファスナーにはConmatic(コンマティック)社製のジップが使用されています。ジッパーのスライダーにはレザータブが付けられ、バイクのグローブなどをしていても開閉がしやすくなるようにされています。

衿はボディと同素材のシャツカラータイプです。左胸にはスナップボタン留めのフラップポケットが、ウエスト部分には手を入れやすいように斜めにカッティングされた片玉縁ハンドウォーマーポケットが設けられています。

袖口の内側には外気をより遮断できるようにウールリブが取り付けられています。

裾の両サイドには絞り調整用のバックルアジャスターが付けられています。

N-1デッキジャケットの後継モデルとして1960年代初頭に採用されたA-2デッキジャケット・シビリアンモデルの復刻製品で、シンプルなデザインと必要最低限の機能性を兼ね備えたモデルです。デザイン面・品質面共にで優れたジャケットでタウンユース用としても最適なジャケットです。

This sherpa lined cotton jacket is made in Japan and produced by Buzz Rickson ( Buzz Ricksons Buzz Rickson's ) from Toyo Enterprises. The Buzz Rickson label, a division of Toyo Enterprise in Japan, is famous around the world for its expertly-crafted authentic military clothing. This jacket pays homage to the iconic U.S. Navy A-2 Deck Jacket civilian model in dark-blue color with exacting details. This dark-blue colored jacket is a reproduction of the commercial versions of the A-2 Deck Jackets had been offered by many companies for the civilian and consumer market instead of the official military suppliers. The A-2 Deck Jacket is the direct successor model of the classic N-1 Deck Jackets. This U.S. Navy A-2 deck jacket features the outer shell made from a heavy cotton back satin fabric in dark-blue color, lining shell made from a soft yet warm polyester and acrylic blended pile, button and zipper closure, self-fabric collar designed in the style of a shirt and the hidden rib-knit cuffs. Outer shell : 100% cotton satin-backed (back sateen) outer shell in dark-blue color. Non-stretch, tightly woven satin-backed fabric with a slubby and rough-hewn texture and rugged appearance and uneven surface from horizontal lines on the face of the fabric. It is high density and extremely durable. It combines the toughness and the natural softness for comfort. The more you wear, the more fabric will fade beautifully and continue to get softer and cozier.

Color : Dark-Blue.

Lining shell : 70% polyester and 30% acrylic blended synthetic fiber fur sherpa lining for torso and sleeves to retains heat and protect you from the cold. It is designed to mimic the look of natural materials. Faux versions are easier to clean and maintain. This lining provides great warmth to the wearer.

Types of garment closure (Placket type) : Zipper closure with zip tape made of all-cotton HBT fabric. Vintage-style Conmatic Zipper closure with button-front wind flap protector (storm flap) located in front of zipper closure. This design protects the wind from slipping through the front. A leather pull tab on zipper for easy functioning with gloves. Buttons are urea 4-holes buttons.

Collar tyoe : Self-fabric collar designed in the style of a shirt.

Cuff type : The sleeve openings are lined with a inset rib to protect from the cold wind. Wool-knit cuffs hidden up inside the sleeve openings.

Storage : The jacket has three exterior pockets. One chest pocket with flap closures secured by snap-down button. Two external slanted single welt slash hand warmer pocket on the lower front section of the jacket.
